Mr. Vardria Magbie Barnett, Sr., age 80, a native of Chilton County and a resident of Loxley, died July 25.
Funeral services were held July 28 at 2:00 P.M. from the Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale, with Elder Joe Coleman and Elder Bill Booker officiating. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Loxley.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen M. Barnett, Loxley; two sons, Lawrence D. Barnett, Niceville, Florida and Vardria M. Barnett, Jr., Loxley; five daughters, Mrs. Dorothy H. Jones, Mobile, Mrs. Alice L. Nims, Mrs. Wanda Huggins and Mrs. Waneta J. Magon, all of Loxley, Miss Catherine M. Barnett, Elberta; one brother, Lewis Barnett, Lipscomb, Alabama; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie B. Glasscock, Mrs. Minnie Glass and Mrs. Auline Jones, all from Jemison, Alabama; twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale, was in charge of the arrangements.
