PERRY, VERGIE I. (BREWER) - 84, passed away January 29, 2011. A lifelong resident of Sharps Chapel, she was the family genealogist, historian and author of Life on Clinch River. Preceded in death by parents, Willard and Relda Brewer; sister, Fleeta Brewer; brother, Rondie Brewer and niece, Rhonda Daniels. Survived by sisters, Katie Cox, Sharps Chapel, Elretta Cox, New Tazewell; nieces and nephews, Robin L. Cox, Kimball Cox, Ricky Brewer, Anthony Brewer, Sherry Cox, Kristi Cox. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 31 at Cooke Funeral Home with services following with Reverend Greg Sharp officiating. Family and friends will meet at Cooke's at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to proceed to the Perry Family Cemetery for a 2:30 p.m. interment. Pallbearers: Kim & Jimmy Cox, Anthony Brewer, Conrad Daniels, David Mynatt, Steve Collins.
