Chase - S.W. Chase, a pioneer of Cowley county, died at the home of his son, Everett M. Chase, on Broadway, Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock, following an illness of over a year. He leaves a wife and seven children, John S. Chase of Beaumont, Texas; E.M. Chase, of Winfield; Mrs. Nellie Herriott of Topeka; Mrs. Carrie Smith of Warner, Oklahoma; Seth W. Chase Jr., of Moline, Kansas; Mrs. Nettie Hudson of Los Angeles, California and Delbert G. Chase of Winfield.

The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
