Elton Wilbert "Bozo" Zoch was born on December 29, 1922 in Winchester, Texas to Herman J. & Lydia (Symank) Zoch. He was baptised on January 7, 1923 and confirmed on April 5, 1936 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Winchester, Texas by Rev. A. Bohot. He was united in marriage to Rosalind Symmank on September 20, 1946 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Parsonage in Giddings by Rev. Max Studtmann. Their marriage was blessed with one daughter, Gwendolyn. Bozo was a World War II Army Veteran who served more than three years in the Pacific Theatre. He and Rosalind were successful business owners of both the Hill Top Inn and Zoch's Grocery in Giddings. Bozo was employed by Bluebonnet Electric for 42 years where he retired as a supervisor in 1988. He was a founding member of the Giddings Sons of Hermann Lodge #54 and a member of the VFW Post #4475 in Giddings. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing dominoes and dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosalind in 1995; son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Kemp in 1986; four brothers, Leon (in infancy), Calvin "Toots", Leroy and Herman "John" Zoch and a sister-in-law, Vivian Zoch. Bozo is survived by his daughter, Gwen Kemp of Giddings; granddaughter, Kelley and Scott McDermott of College Station; two sisters, Frances and Herb Roeber of Paige and Lillian and Olin Graham of Pearland; brother, Nelson and Mary Sue Zoch of Kingwood; two sisters-in-law, Leroy's widow, Connie Zoch of Spring and Calvin's widow, Annie Doris Zoch of Beaumont; three step grandchildren, Michael Kemp of Dallas, Mary and Jeff Spickler of Plano and Sandy and Rob Smith of Cedar Park and dear friend, Rachel Gonzales of Giddings as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Bozo's brothers' sons, John Nelson Zoch, Paul Zoch, Terry Jon Zoch, Christopher Zoch, Gregory Roeber, Mark Graham, Bradley Graham, Nathan Zoch and Andrew Zoch. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings or the charity of one's choice.
