His parents; his maternal grandfather, Richard McMillan; and four of his brothers, Cajer, Richard, Wilburn and Pete Posey are also buried in Crawfordville Cemetery. His sister, Pharaba Posey Strickland is buried in Zion Hill Cemetery, Wakulla County.
Jack Posey survived World War I, but came home ill and very frail and suffered much in the last years of his life.
