Services were held in the chapel of the Rix Funeral Home for Rudolph D.Pannell 40 year old barber who died Sunday May 18,1952 in his home following a heart attack.
Rudolph was born January 25,1912 in Grayson County, Texas to Joseph A.Pannell and Theo Docia Williams Pannell.He lived in Grayson County until he entered the Navy in 1941.After returning to the states he made his home in Big Springs,Texas before moving to Odessa,Texas.
Rev.Dan McClendon officiated and burial was in the Vittitoe Cemetery,Tom Bean,Texas.Pallbearers were Gene Murdock,A.P.Boyt,Dan Tuggle,C.M.Wyatt,E.L.Absher,and H.A. Tucker.
Rudolph served with the U.S. Navy during WW11 on the USS Iowa in the Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include the widow Mrs.Anna Pannell,five children,two sons,Jackie and Joe Glenn,three daughters,Peggy Sue,Lynda Lou,and Jerry Gail.
