Donald J. Kosmider, 72, of Allen Rd., died Friday, March 6th, in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, after a long illness.

His wife, Vera (Dedelow) Kosmider, died in 2006. He leaves two sons, Edward D. Kosmider of Charlton and Daniel F. Kosmider of West Warren; two daughters, Karla A. Christiansen of Charlton and Michele L. Edwards of Brookfield; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A son, Edward J. Kosmider, died in 1961. He was also predeceased by a brother, Daniel Kosmider, and three sisters, Jenny Wallace, Stella Drazek and Nellie Quintal. He was born in Ware the son of Albert and Mary Helen (Puskey) Kosmider.

Donald was a tool designer for Warren Pumps in Warren for 42 years before retiring many years ago. After retiring Donald took great joy in helping to raise his grandchildren and enjoyed living on South Pond in Brookfield.

Calling hours for Donald will be held on Monday, March 9th, in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, from 5:00 to 7:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm in the funeral home. Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, Warren, will be held at a later date.
