William Franklin Grissom, 45, died Sunday night at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of Herrin, IL where he attended college. He served as a member of the military police in Washington DC and had lived in Tallahassee since 1958. He was the first special agent in Florida for the National Auto Theft Bureau. He was a Baptist and a Mason. Bill loved fishing, hunting, boating, skiing and camping. He spent many days with his family enjoying the great outdoors. Bill was an excellent cook.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara, a son, Michael, daughters, Donna and Carolyn. He is also survived by his father Harry Lee and sister, Virginia and Katie as well as many friends and extended family.
