He was born October 5, 1910, in Oakland City.
He retired in 1975 after teaching math and science at Huntingburg High School for 14 years. He also taught at many other schools in the area including Francisco, Lynnville, Elberfeld and Dale. He taught one year at Oakland City University.
He was a member of Oakland City Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Oakland City Masonic Lodge, Huntingburg Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) and the Huntingburg Teachers Association. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Edith (Hedges) Weber; daughter, Jennifer Allison of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Faye Ershig of Henderson, Ky. and two grandchildren, Jason and Heather Allison.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 24 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Dr. Douglas Low will officiate. Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 23 and from 8 a.m. until the service hour Thursday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
