Funeral services for Mrs. Thursey Smithson, 71, were conducted Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the Pleasant View Church of Christ with Minister Odell Powell officiating. Burial was in the Iconium Cemetery under the direction of Woodbury Funeral Home. Mrs. Smithson died Saturday at the Good Samatarian Hospital after an extended illness. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was the daughter of the late Roy Logan and Millie Logan. A native of Cannon County, she was the wife of Charley Smithson who survives. Survivors include a son, Leon Smithson of Woodbury; a brother Hobert Logan of Woodbury; five sisters, Mrs. Prudie Haley of Woodbury, Mrs. Daisy Clayton of Pulaski, Mrs. Grace Tucker, Mrs. Lura Ceigter and Mrs. Pauline Higgins all of Nashville; and seven grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Lawton Smithson, Wiley Smithson, Floyd Haley, Mack Haley, Jacky Haley, and Doran Haley. Cannon Courier, Woodbury, TN.
