Patsy Ann (Bickford) Wart, 73, died January 10, 2009 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born on April 28, 1935 in Weeping Water, NE to Donald and Harriet Bickford. She married her childhood sweetheart, Roland Wart, on June 21, 1953 in Lincoln, NE. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in 2008. She stayed home to raise her family of four, then became a nurse. They moved to Divide, CO in 1971. Patty was a nurse at Cripple Creek, CO nursing home where she spent 18 years caring for others. She had a great love of nursing. After her retirement Rollie and Patty traveled the US for 15 years. They loved spending their winters in Arizona for many years. In 2002 they moved to Colorado Springs.
She is survived by the love of her life, Rollie. Daughters Carrie (Eddie) Hoy, Jody Wart, Penny (Russell) Burns, and son Kimberly (Nancy) Wart. Grandchildren, Tabitha Nelson, Darryl Hoy, Bryan (Lynette) Hoy, Steven Hoy, Bryce Wart, Erica Wart, and Amanda Stephens. Great grandchildren Kasandra, Jennifer, and Sabrina Nelson. Her sister Joy (Cliff) Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Aaron Wart and great-grandsons Dominic Nelson and Sean Hoy.
Our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at Community Fellowship of Christians in Lake George, Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 1pm. Luncheon will follow services.
