Kermit Theodore Harp was the son of John and Louisa Bolin Harp. On July 7 1929 by and Lorene Blevins were married.

Kermit was a retired carpenter and farmer who loved to sucker grab(sucker is a carp fish, grab is a way of catching). He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by his grandchildren. He was a special grandpa. Kermit was a member of First Baptist Church of Nixa.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lorene on 4 July 1998; his son Rex Harp; four brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include; His daughter-in-law, Clara Harp; a grandson, Rick Harp; a granddaughter, Ronda Thompson and her husband, Wayne, all of Nixa; great grandsons, Jeff Thompson and Justin Thompson, Nixa; and a great granddaughter, Christy Sherer and her husband David, Highlandville.

In memory of Kermit T. Harp born 2 June 1909 and passed away 21 April 2000. Services Tuesday, 25 April 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa Missouri. Officiating is Dr. Richard Eakins. Music: "Shall We Gather at the River," and "How Great Thou Art" with Charles Driver, soloist and Colette Long Pianist.

Escorts are: Rick Harp, Wayne Thompson, Jeff Thompson, Justin Thompson, David Sherer and Arvil Harp. Interment at Glenn Cemetery.
