Wreck Victim's Rites Set at Oplin Tuesday

Funeral services for Bailey Windham, 21, of Oplin, who died Sunday evening in Hendrick Memorial Hospital after being injured early Sunday in an auto wreck, will be held at Oplin Baptist Church at 3 p. m. Tuesday. The Rev. J. P. McKissick will officiate. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery near Oplin under direction of Elliott's Funeral Home.

The youth's automobile overturned three and one-half miles north of Oplin on Farm-to-Market Road 604 early Sunday morning. Apparently he was alone in the car when the accident occurred, Highway Patrolman G. G. Fitzhugh said. The car, headed south toward Oplin, was heavily damaged.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Windham of Oplin, he was born April 11, 1932, at Oplin and had lived there all his life with the exception of time spent in the Army.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters. Virginia Lee and Winnie Joan Windham, both of Oplin; five brothers, Robert, Tommy, Hal, J. D. Windham, all of Oplin, and Billy Ray Windham of Wyoming.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Windham, Frank Windham, Charlie Tom Straley, Richard Windham, James Windham, and Charlie Straley.
