NASHUA, N.H. — Magella "Ma" Simone (LaChance) Levasseur of Nashua, N.H. embraced her Lord Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 after a courageous battle with heart disease.

She was born in Chicopee Falls, on June 7, 1927 to Leda (Gregory) and Napoleon LaChance of Canada. All who knew her called her "Ma." She was the kindest, sweetest woman any one had the honor to know. She always had a good word to say and loved her family deeply. Ma spent her entire life raising her children and helping anyone in need. In her later years she enjoyed watching her favorite television shows such as the SciFi and Weather Channels and she loved going shopping. A devoted Catholic she was a communicant of the former St. Francis Church in Nashua, N.H.

Besides her parents, Magella was predeceased by husbands, Roland Joseph Arsenault formerly of Lawrence, and Robert G. Levasseur formerly of South Lawrence; a daughter, Sandra Rose Arsenault formerly of Pelham, N.H.; two sons, Dennis L. Arsenault formerly of Methuen and Gregory G. Arsenault, Sr. formerly of Milford, N.H.; and two sisters, Rita Benoit formerly of Windham, N.H. and Doris Gagnon formerly of Robinville, N.J., as well as many other beloved family members.

She is survived by four sons, Roland J. Arsenault of Nashua, N.H., Gerard G. and his wife Debra (Robinson) Arsenault of Litchfield, N.H., Robert J. Arsenault of Milford, N.H., Ronald R. and his wife Denise (Lefebvre) Arsenault of Merrimack, N.H. and daughter-in-law Penelope (Allen) Arsenault, widow of Greg Arsenault Sr. of Milford, N.H. Other survivors include two sisters, Theresa Ducharme of Windham, N.H. and Loretta Morin of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Theresa, Gregory Jr., Robert, Sandra, Sean, Christopher, Kristen, Nicole, Raymond, Megan, Kassandra and Robert and great-grandchildren, Billy, Justin, Brandon and Lea, many nieces and nephews as well as numerous close family friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 256 Broadway, Lawrence. Ma will be deeply missed - she was, in the truest sense, one of a kind. Heaven is a grander place with her presence!
