I have been researching this family for years. If you are related, I would love to hear from you if you would like to share and exchange family information.

Joseph Proulx born 15 Sept 1817 Baie-du-Febvre, Nicolet, Yamaska, Québec, Canada, and baptized the same day, was the son of Josephte Lamaire and Joseph Proulx. Record to the right.

Joseph married Mary Rosanna Wright on 25 July 1844 Dubuque, Iowa. per Iowa state marriage records.

Their three year old son John B. Proulx and nine year old son Louis J. Proulx are buried at Saint Gabriel Cemetery Prairie du Chien Crawford County, Wisconsin. (Links below)

Many many thanks to the Canadian family member and researcher, Claude St. Jean, for the email connecting us to the "past" that our families share.

Their union was blessed with seven children, Augustine, Sarah, Francis, Theophile, John B., Mary and Louis.

Thanks to Patricia and Tony Held for the transfer of their memorial to me for updating and additional information and their excellent photographs.
