Thelma S. Holt, 78, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003. She was born Jan. 11, 1925 in Alachua, Fla. and was a 35 year resident of Las Vegas. At the age of 18 she joined the U.S. Army, serving two years in the Medical Corp.

After her honorable discharge she began a career in the food and beverage industry, working in Jacksonville, Miami and Hollywood, Fla. and then continuing her career in Las Vegas.

She then opened her own business, a pet store. She was also the founder of the Las Vegas Poodle Club. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Thelma is survived by, Johanna Fowler of West Miami. Norma of Jacksonville, Charlie Fowler of Walterboro .,South Carolina Jackie Loos of Columbia South Carolina Linda Driggers of Summerville South Carolina., Paulette Botten of Summerville South Carolina.,.and Lorene Shirar of Gerton North Carolina.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Interment will be held at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Palm Mortuary-Main.
