She was born May 2, 1900, to Richard and Susan (Dunnigan) Beck in Bolivar, Mo. She was educated in Springfield, Mo., where she graduated from high school. She attended Springfield College, where she studied secretarial skills.
She moved to Wenatchee in 1920 and worked for D. Howard Davis as a public stenographer. Davis was responsible for building the Wenatchee Post Office. She was also a stenographer to the federal construction engineer. In 1942, she worked for the Alloy Defense Plant at Rock Island. She attended the New Life Center Church of God.
Survivors include two nieces, Susan Bryan, Orinda, Calif., and Gwen French, East Wenatchee; three grandnieces, Joann Rivera and Lynne Godsey, both of San Jose, Calif., and Sharon Bryan of Marin, Calif.; and a special friend and care-giver, Pauline McDonald, Wenatchee.
