Richard Henderson Glasure, 60, of Columbus, GA, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia Hospital in Macon, GA. Private services will be held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Mr. Glasure was born September 20, 1947 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Wayne Henderson Glasure and Edith Virginia Ellison Glasure. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1965, and from Columbus College in 1968. He was a member of Christian Science Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by an uncle, Richard Lane Ellison, Jr., of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and nine cousins, Chris D. Bankston, and wife Jan, Sherry B. Scroggins, and husband Melvin all of Phenix City, AL, Sherry Rushing, Marilyn Doran, Rick Ellison all of Ft Walton Beach, FL, Bette Blair of Addison, TX, Pam Rainey, and husband Bill of Denton, TX, Marshall Mainor and Carol Dunn of Columbus, GA.
