Dwight D. Takaki, 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at JourneyCare Hospice Center in Barrington, Ill. He was born on Feb. 28, 1945, in Chicago and was a Round Lake Beach resident since 1978.
Dwight married the love of his life, Jean Marie, on Dec. 2, 1972, and they had four beautiful children together. He was a decorated Marine who served multiple tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a true fisherman at heart and shared his love for the sport with his four kids.
He is survived by his four children and their families, including many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Marie in 1999.
Visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of remembrance and military honors at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville.
