Simon Joseph Keesling

Stafford - Simon Joseph Keesling, 83, resident of the Peace Creek community for 55 years, died at 2:30 am., Saturday in his home, 18 miles northeast of Stafford. He had been in ill health for several years.

Mr. Keesling was born in Wytheville, Va., Jan 4, 1864.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Edith Poorbaugh, Sylvia, Mrs. Bonnie Blocker, Zenith, and Ethel Keesling, of the home; a brother, Ralph Keesling, Sylvia; two sisters, Mrs. G.T. Clayton, Dodge City, and Mrs. John Peterson, Chase; and a brother Charles Keesling somewhere in Oregon.

Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Peace Creek church with Floyd E. Mitten officiating. Burial will be in Peace Creek cemetery.
