J. A. Eastcoff, 42, a plumber, of Jacksonville, despondent over illness, committed suicide by shooting himself through the heart with a single barreled shotgun. Eastcoff discharged the gun with his foot by pulling a string attached to the trigger. He was standing in a half-bended position when the shot tore through his body.
