A Three Springs native, Ruth E. Park, 91, formerly of 130 E. 24th Ave., Altoona, died Thursday, Jan 11, 1990, at Moran's Nursing Home, Bellwood, where she had most recently resided. Death followed an extended illness.

Born in Three Springs on Aug 28, 1898, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edwinna (Montgomery) Covert. She was united in marriage with Leroy Park, who died Dec 29, 1987.

Surviving are a daughter, Betty J. Grove, and a son, L. Roy Park, both in Altoona; four grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Mrs. Park was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Juniata (Altoona). During her lifetime she had been a homemaker.

Private funeral services, with the Rev. Dr. Lewis A. Parks officiating, will be held in Altoona at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Three Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Juniata (Altoona).
