Myrtle G. Ross, 80, of Mapleton, R.D. 1, died in the Huntingdon County Nursing Home, Huntingdon, at 1:50 p.m. Friday, May 22, 1987.

Born in Cass Township, Huntingdon County, on Jan. 2, 1907, she was a daughter of Joseph and Orbie (Long) Dell. She was united in marriage to William Ross on Oct. 17, 1929. Mr. Ross survives.

There are four children – Mrs. Mary Heath of Broad Top City; Evelyn Wetzel of Pulaski, Tenn.; William C. Ross, Mapleton, R.D.; and Joseph L. Ross, Mapleton, R.D.

Four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson also survive.

A brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ross was a member of the Valley View Evangelical Church, Independent, at Mapleton, R.D.

She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, May 25, from the Valley View Evangelical Church, Independent, Mapleton, R.D., the Rev. Lloyd Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery, Three Springs, R.D.

Friends may call at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home in Cassville from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church one hour prior to the service.
