Obit for Charles William Brown

Charles Brown was born in Macon County, Il., April 10, 1859: died January 29, 1911, Aged 52 years, 9 months and 20 days. He was married to Elizabeth Burkey, and to this union were born three children, Mary, Nellie and Hazel. the youngest preceded him to that better land. He leaves a wife, two daughters and three grand children to mourn their loss. Also two sisters and three brothers survive him. He was a kind husband and a loving father in his family, and his presence will be missed by the family and a host of friends. he was a professor of Christianity. Thus ends the earthly life of a husband and father.

The funeral was preached by the writer from the 11th Chapter of John and the first and second clauses of the 25th verse, in the presence of a large concourse of friends. After which we laid his remains away to rest in the Knight cemetery to await the call of the Master.
