Mrs. Ora Jane Hess of Dublin Mills, Three Springs Star Route, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, June 26, 1972, at 8 a.m. She was 76.
She was born July 17, 1895 at Three Springs, a daughter of Clay and Alice (Hudson) Park. She was united in marriage to David Ray Hess of Dublin Mills on March 23, 1918 at Saltillo.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by these children: Mrs. Luther (Ruth) Gladfelter, York; Sheldon Hess, Steubenville, Ohio; Mrs. Eldon (Mary) Grissinger, Hustontown; Mrs. Jay (Helen) Souders, Dublin Mills. One son preceded her in death.
Fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and these brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Margaret Fleck, Petersburg; Mrs. Mary Peterson, Three Springs; Mrs. Lillian Baker, Saltillo; Mrs. Edith Bard, Chambersburg; Hark Park and Max Park, Three Springs.
She was a member of the Three Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 29 at 2 p.m. at the Three Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Lester Swope officiated and interment was in Three Springs Cemetery.
