Mrs. Alice Ruth Park died at her late home in Three Springs on Friday, October 23, 1953, at 8:30 a. m. She had been in failing health for the past two and one-half years. She was born May 29, 1876 at Three Springs and at the time of death was aged 77 years, 5 months and 24 days. She was a daughter of Ephraim and Eliza (Newman) Hudson, and was united in marriage to Clay Park on August 30, 1893 at Three Springs, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. Mr. Plush. Her husband preceded her in death in May, 1951. Mrs. Park was a member of the Three Springs Baptist Church. She was a kind and loving mother and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. Surviving are the following children: Carl Park of Maddensville, Margaret (Mrs. Wilfred Fleck) of Petersburg, Ora (Mrs. Ray Hess) of Three Springs, Edith (Mrs. Donald Bard) of Chambersburg, Mary (Mrs. Russell Peterson), Lillian (Mrs. Ray Baker), Raymond Park, Harold Park, and Max Park, all of Three Springs. She is also survived by one sister and two brothers: Mrs. Flora Wilson of Three Springs, George Hudson of Pitcairn, and Edgar A. Hudson of Three Springs. Thirty-two grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Park home at Three Springs, with the Rev. Lloyd Newlin officiating. Interment will be made in Three Springs Cemetery, directed by McClain's funeral service. Friends may call at the Park home at any time until the funeral hour.
