Jack Warren Clements, age 93, of Brenham, Texas, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 8, 2023. Jack was born in Humboldt, Kansas, on June 4, 1930, to Thad and Lena (Rapp) Clements. He will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery, in Humboldt, Kansas, on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Jack grew up in Humboldt with 5 sisters and 3 brothers. He left home and joined the Navy to serve his country in 1948 and served in Korea between 1950 and 1951. He was Honorably Discharged from the Navy on January 31, 1952. After coming back home to Kansas he married Idris Darlene Drury on June 8, 1952. Jack worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and in 1956, went to work for Carter-Humble-Exxon before retiring after 30 years of service in 1986. During those years, Jack and Idris had 2 children, Pam, and Gregg, and lived in 18 different communities in nine different states. After retirement, Jack continued to work in the geophysical business for many years. Jack loved a good western movie, good country music, telling a good joke, pulling an occasional prank, drinking coffee with his friends, and spending time with his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Pam and Hearne Williford, granddaughter, Shannon Williford Pickard and husband, Joe; grandson, Matt Williford; great-granddaughter, Olivia Pickard, great-grandson Oliver Pickard, brother Sonny, sisters, Janice and Sara Jane, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Idris of 70 years; his son Gregg Alan Clements; his brothers; Ronnie and Larry; and his sisters Venora, Nancy, and Kathy.

Memorials are suggested to St Peter's Lutheran Church and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St, Peter's Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas.

Military Honors will be presented by the Chanute Honor Guard.

Services are under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home 500 North Forest Ave Chanute, Kansas 66720.
