DEATH OF MRS M. E. JONES.
Mrs Muriel De'Ellessart Jones passed away in the Dangar Cottage Hospital yesterday afternoon after an illness which extended over a considerable period.
Deceased was well-known in Singleton, and for a number of years she conducted a boarding house in York Street.
She was the widow of the late Mr Sid Jones, formerly of Glendon Brook, who predeceased her by about seven years.
Miss Enid Jones, of York Street, is a daughter, a son (Jack) being in the Armed Forces.
The funeral was conducted this afternoon, the remains being interred in the Church of England cemetery at Whittingham, following a service at All Saints'.
Messrs Partridge Bros, were in charge of mortuary arrangements.
