Daryl Keith Mays, son of Willa E. Mays and the late Hobert Mays Jr. was born June 8, 1965 in Mecklenburg, Virginia. He departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on December 16, 2016. At an early age, Daryl gave his life to Christ at Mercy Seat RZUA Church in Warfield, VA. He received his education from the Brunswick County school system. After high school graduation, he joined the United States Army where he served for 8 years. Upon leaving the army he went to work for Vulcan Materials where he was a dedicated employee for over 25 years. Daryl was a hard-working, kind, loving, dependable, and family oriented man. He enjoyed being outdoors tending to his yard, and he had a love for fast cars especially his mustang. He was a man of few words, however, when he spoke, the deep bass of his voice filled the room. On August 9, 2003, Daryl married the love of his life Pauline D. Walls (Paula) and together they raised two daughters that he loved dearly. He was proceeded in death by his father Hobert Mays Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 13 years Paula, two daughters.
