Paulette Viola McMillin, age 78 passed away on October 13, 2023 at her home in Janesville. Paulette was born on October 14, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, the oldest of 3 children to Paul and Viola (Frey) Quasny. She graduated from Milton Union High School in 1962 and went on to study art at UW Madison. She married in 1964 and had two children. Paulette worked in a variety of roles as a waitress, file clerk and purchasing agent, but her favorite role was mom to her busy sons, actively supporting them in school, church, a variety of sports, cub scouts and more. She enjoyed snowmobiling with the family and being a member of the "Rock County Snowblowers" club, she also took flying lessons and obtained her small aircraft pilot license in late 70's.
Paulette was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards, knitting and crochet. She made many afgans for numerous children, grandchildren, friends, and family. Paulette was known by all as a kind and generous person, eager to help anyone she encountered. She was very involved in her church, enjoyed singing in the choir and all in her community enjoyed her warm smile and always pleasant greeting. She loved watching her grandchildren grow and being active in their lives, she was incredibly proud of each of them. Paulette is survived by her siblings, her sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Paulette is predeceased by her parents. Funeral Services will be held Friday October 20, 2023 at 12:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church, Janesville. Visitation will be at 11:00 am until time of services at the church. Burial to Follow at Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
