ADKINS, Fred Douglas, 85, of Charles City, Va., departed this life January 16, 2013. He is survived by his loving and devoted family: wife, Iris Jeanette Adkins; son, Fred M. Adkins; daughter, Lois Jones; four grandchildren, Lynnette Jones (Marvin), Michael Jones, Ray Jones and Brock Adkins; three great-grandsons, Jackson and McKinley Keel-Atkins and Isiah Adkins; sister, Henrietta Jones; and other relatives and friends. Viewing will be 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Wilson & Associates', 5008 Nine Mile Rd. Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Little Elam Baptist Church, 8840 Church Lane, Charles City. Interment church cemetery. Please omit food
