Rebecca Kay Biermaier was born on January 15th 1972, in Fridley Minnesota. Becki passed away on July 19th 2023. She is preceded by Judy Biermaier (Mother), Harold and Audrey Wussow (Grandparents), Rudy and Emma Biermaier (Grandparents), Kay and Jerry Faber (Aunt/Uncle), Doug Wussow (Uncle), Alana Faber (Cousin). She is survived by Robert Biermaier and Marge Galiher (Father/Partner), Michael and Beth Biermaier (Brother/Sister In-Law), Jon Biermaier (Brother), and her Beloved dogs Simon and Rosie.
Becki spent her childhood years living in Blaine Minnesota. She studied at Blaine High School, Anoka Ramsey Community College, and Minnesota State University Moorhead. Becki went on to work in Nashville in the music industry at Gospel Music Association, and as a Teacher/Administrator at New Song Christian Academy, followed by working as a Teacher in Andover Minnesota at Legacy Christian Academy.
Becki was a woman of immense faith, dedicated educator, passionate friend, and cherished family member. She has had an immeasurable impact on everyone who was blessed enough to have known her. It is not possible to describe her by mere words or categories.
After her passing these are just a few excerpts of what her friends and family have stated about her impact on this world:
"Hundreds of lives impacted by her smile, her wit, her precocious sense of humor and love without limits."
"Becki was fierce, confident, full of faith and had a wicked sense of humor."
"You were a bright light and an amazing teacher to everyone who had the privilege of taking a class with you. I was lucky enough to have you as a math tutor as well for many years. Math was one of my hardest subjects for a long time. The obstacles you overcame with me taught me so much in life, and even gave me a new found love in something I never thought was possible, math. You had that effect on everyone you knew. You could take something from nothing and change someone's perspective... with a little bit of love, kindness, confidence, strength, and determination. You never let ANYTHING hold you back. I will miss everything about you."
"Bec is an overcomer who is fun, happy, silly, helpful, witty, tender-hearted, adorable, resilient, hilarious, loyal, wise, caring, generous, kind, compassionate, curious, strong, loving... And ultimately, a lover of Jesus. I'm glad we packed in so many memories over the past 23 years. As her friend Nicole said, "You can't out-friend Becki."
"I grew up around Becki, followed her every post and talked about her to make points to people my whole life. She was and will forever be such an inspiration!!!... What the world lost; heaven gained. People try to find excuses but she actually had a good one that she never seemed to use?"
"She ran the race with dignity and an aptitude like no other. She was not only one of my dearest friends, I loved her so much! She was unique and one of the most beautiful people I have ever met."
"Becki has always been one of those people that make you feel like the world is a better place because of her. I am sad she is gone, but I know she is happy, dancing and singing now. She has always been an inspiring and tenacious light. Sad for us but a happy day for heaven."
"I will miss Becki Biermaier's sweet presence and gregarious laughter for the rest of my days on this earth."
"She was such a kind and lovely person who was an inspiration to so many. I've never encountered someone who took the physical challenges she was dealt with in this life and used them as a catalyst to achieve, encourage, and glorify God through her words and actions."
"It's still hard to believe you're gone Becki Biermaier. I half-expect a call from you... giggling... tell me it was just a prank and how I fell for it. I know that's not the truth but how I wish it would happen."
"With heavy hearts we say farewell, I hope heaven welcomed you in the most grand way. I will cherish all our memories. I miss you already dear friend."
"I remember the phone call when I was 10 years old, telling me, "Your birthday present is here! You have a little baby girl, just like you asked for!" That was the beginning of a wonderful life with my babydoll Becki! This morning I received a phone call telling me, "she's gone, she went to Heaven! " Becki passed last night and is now at home in Heaven. My heart hurts, my mind wonders, my tears fall. I loved you from day One! I will share our stories forever!"
All who were Blessed to know Becki have cherished memories and stories that they will share and cherish forever. One such memory happened when Becki was very young. It was a beautiful Mother's Day morning. She had that loving, intense, determined, and passionate look on her face, that we have all seen many times, as she scooted around the yard carefully gathering only the best dandelions she could find. She then gathered a few Marigold blossoms and placed them all in a jar, added water, and mashed them together, adding more of each to the mix until she was absolutely satisfied. She then took this blend of her favorite things and proudly presented this "perfume" combination of Love, passion, and creativity to her mother as her Mother's Day gift.
We all have been fortunate to have been presented with a lifetime of gifts from Becki made from her uniquely for each of us. Becki often said after someone passed that she was so jealous because they got to go to Heaven and be with Jesus.
Now We Are The Jealous Ones.
In memory of Becki Biermaier, we ask that donations be made to an organization that is close to your heart.
