Debi Grigsby, age 67 of Lexington, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023. Debra Dee Miller was born March 10, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, the middle child of 5 children born to Clyde James 'Jim' Miller and Lois Arline (Stanfield) Miller. She was raised in Moore, and attended school there, graduating with the Lion's Class of 1974. By chance, she met a young man named Gary Grigsby. They first met at the A&W, and then reconnected a couple of years later. Gary knew she was the one, although Debi needed some persuading, and the rest as they say is history. They were the perfect couple, and later married on September 24, 1977 in Moore. They first made their home in Moore and 3 years later settled near Noble, where they raised their children, daughter Reve and son Jason. Debi always felt blessed to be able to stay home with her kids, and she was the perfect homemaker. In fact, she was a "mom" too many of her children's friends, and a positive role model in their lives. Despite many health challenges, she remained steadfast. Debi was an encourager and a motivator, who routinely sent cards and positive messages to family and friends. She enjoyed crafting, and was an excellent baker, and she will be forever remembered for her apple pie. Above all, Debi served the Lord faithfully, and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Purcell. She was a wonderful "Precious" wife, mother, Nanae, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jim and Lois Miller.
Debi is survived by: her loving husband, Gary Grigsby of the home; daughter, Reve Reed and husband Michael of Hahira, GA; son, Jason Grigsby of Lexington; two sisters, Carol Shugart and husband Greg of DWG, Texas and Ronda Hardy and husband Mike of Moore, OK; two brothers, Allen Miller of Moore and Ronnie Miller of OKC; her pride and joy, grandsons Blake and Jacob and a host of other family and friends.
We will celebrate Debi's life 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Little's Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Please wear cheerful colors!
