M. Alean Sever, 82, of Waverly, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Valley View Care Center, following a brief illness.

She was born in Kentucky on November 9, 1940 to the late Lonnie and Lexie (Hill) Williams. On August 22, 1998, she married her beloved husband, Russell Larry Sever, who preceded her in death on June 13, 2022.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Randy (Dottie) Ray; her step-daughter, Cathy Ward; her step-son, Russell Sever, Jr.; three grandchildren, Jordan (Matt) Oates, Corey (Alley) Ray, and Jeremy Carroll; 8 great-grandchildren; 1-great-great-granddaughter; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine (Everett) Kellough; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peg Branham; and brothers, John, Jim, Jesse, and Danny Williams.

Alean worked as a home health aide and at Westmoreland Place as a nurse's aide for many years. She also attended the Hallsville Church. In her free time, she loved sitting on the back deck watching wildlife, and also enjoyed watching her soap operas.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Haller Funeral Home
