John Charles "J.C." Gaska came into this world on November 25, 1955 in South Bend, Indiana where he lived most of his life. He was born to the late John L. and Joan R. Gaska. His beloved step-father and best friend, Albert A. Ewald, Jr. also preceded him in death. On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, J.C. entered his final rest to join his parents; grandparents; and two brothers, James M. and Richard A. Gaska in eternity.

J.C. is survived by his three sisters, Juliann Unruh of Plymouth, IN, Jerry Gaska-Straub of West Lafayette, IN, and Jill Ballard of Havelock, NC. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

During J.C.'s life, he worked in food service and custodial service at many places. He appreciated and enjoyed music, and he had a strong ability for electronics. After graduating from LaSalle High School, he served his country with the United States Marine Corp.

Per J.C.'s wishes, there will be no services or visitation. A private burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family. Contributions in memory of J.C. may be donated to the charity of the donor's choice.
