Born and raised in Beverly, Ann was one of three siblings, born to the late Joseph and Rose (Musumeci) DiVincenzo. Ann attended St. Marys School Catholic School in Beverly where she graduated high school in 1960. During her time in high school one of her friends introduced her to David Cronin. Well, that was the beginning of a romance that spanned over the next fifty some odd years!
Ann had played the piano since she was a child. While in school she would play for all the school activities, and later after High School she secured a position as organist at St. Marys Church in Beverly . Her musical talents were always developing and soon after college, she helped out St. Mary's Parish with their CCD program. At the same time she and David directed the junior choir at St. Marys High School.
Ann and David married, and have journeyed together for fifty-two years. They brought three beautiful children into their family, to whom they were both devoted.
After living in Beverly for a short while, they nestled into Woburn where they have made their home for over forty years. The Cronin family became members of St. Barbaras Church and were involved in all there the activities throughout the years. Teaching CCD, CYO, leaders of song, heading up different programs and as a Youth Minister, are some of the special ways in which she gave to her Parish; retiring in 2012.
A woman passionate about her family, Ann shared a very close relationship to each one. Christmas was truly a wonderful time of the year for Ann. She so enjoyed making and putting together little gifts for family and friends alike to enjoy. Ann's role as "Nana" to her six grandchildren was what she always considered a wonderful gift. Adoring them all as they have grown, Ann never wanted to miss a moment of time with them. Reading, singing, playing the piano and having "fun" was what it was all about.
Ann will always be remembered for her loving, kind, and generous ways, along with a very funny ,and creatively inclusive demeanor! Ann was a woman of tremendous faith, her entire life. The love she shared for both family and friends was unconditional and faith filled.
