Capt. Arnold E. Parler was the son of John Parler, Jr. and Elizabeth Little. He was married 26 November 1840 to Sarah Catherine Thompson. They had ten children.
After marriage it is said Arnold went to Arkansas, later returning to SC.
Capt. in CSA, Military Records, STALLINGS Batt., Co.A, 8 Batt. SC Res., his pistol was on display in the Citadel Museum. His son Capt. John James Parler served under him.
Arnold E. Parler was my gr-gr-grandfather.
