Indianapolis - John E. Westwick, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 13, 2018.
John graduated from the University of Iowa in 1956 and married Carol Rasmussen.
John was a member of the University of Iowa ROTC Rifle Team and later served in the US Army.
John worked at Allison Gas Turbine (General Motors) for 37 years retiring in 1992.
John's hobbies were pheasant hunting, tennis, coaching his sons' baseball, and attending his grandchildren's' sporting events.
John is survived by his wife, Carol, children, Lori Westwick Becker, Susan (Rusty) Bradley, Richard Westwick, Kevin Westwick, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 9am-11am August 17, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church, 5706 E. CR 100 N., Avon, IN followed by a memorial service at 11am.
