It is with sadness that the family of Donald "Donnie" Albert DeMerchant who was raised and resided in Tartown, announce his death which occurred on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Upper River Valley Hopsital, Waterville. Born August 22, 1944 in Centreville he was the son of the late Mona (Green) DeMerchant.

Donnie enjoyed wheeling, hunting, fishing and spending time at the camp. Donnie was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; 5 children, Darryl Miller (Nicole), Diane Dugan, Eleanor Lloyd (Chester), Dwayne DeMerchant (Melinda) and Joey Miller (June Lloyd); chosen son, Henry Dugan; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 siblings, Rev. Carl DeMerchant (Sharon) and Betty Lavigne; chosen brother, Lester Sprague as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
