Rodney Lee Guiles Sr. 86, of White Cloud, Michigan. Born and raised in Sparta, MI. The child of Elijah and Ruth Guiles. Rodney was one of ten children. He was preceded in death by his brothers Joe and Richard, and his sweet sisters Esther and Carolyn. Rodney worked hard all of his life. Not just the many years he put in at Gallmeyer and Livingston. He was an avid farmer and gardener. His gardening was his passion in life, and nobody had better tasting vegetables. He and his loving wife Charlene raised six children. He instilled in his children a love for gardening and self-sufficiency. Together they have fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Anyone who truly knew him knew that he was rough around the edges, but he had a heart of gold. He did everything he could to make sure his family was well taken care of. He loved his westerns, his nature walks, and his strawberry shortcake. Rodney served in the United States Army and was very proud of his service to our country. Rodney passed peacefully, at home on August 24th, 2022. He is and was well loved and will be greatly missed, but lovingly remembered.
