Obituary:
Eddie Lee Ayers, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at his residence.
He was a master barber at Bears Barber Shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Walter Ayers and brother, William (Gloria) Ayers.
Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Alma Ayers of Chattanooga; daughters, Sandra Long of Rossville, and Vickie (Marvin) Toney of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Charles Young and Erica Ashley; seven great grandchildren; one nephew, Williams Ayers, Detroit, and one niece, Elaine (Louis) Jackson of Detroit.
Eddie will lie in state on Saturday, July 9, at 9 a.m. at Greater Community of Chattanooga Church of God in Christ.
Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor J. Anthony Taylor as the eulogist.
