Viola Jean (Gintling) Richards, 79, passed away quietly November 30, 2007 with her children by her side.
She was born in Akron, Ohio and lived in the area most of her life. A longtime member of the First Christian Church of Kent, she enjoyed singing in the choir, quilting and Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the Kadesh Court of the Ladies Oriental Shrine.
Preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; she is survived by her daughter, Jeaninne (John) Johnson; sons, Mark (Debra) Richards and Tom (JoAnne) Richards; grandchildren, Dale Henderson II, Samuel Richards, Nikki Mansell; great-granddaughter, Ariana Conley; her brother, Tom Gintling; sister, Lynn Campbell and many other loving family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 335 West Main St., Kent 44240, Tuesday, December 4 at 6 p.m. with Reverend Rebecca Heller officiating. Family and friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
A special thanks from the family to V.N.S. Hospice Care Center for the care they gave to our mother.
