Patricia Ann Billmeyer, 73, of 2724 Balboa Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where there will be at wake service at 7:30 p.m.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1934, in Dyersville, daughter of Emil and Martha (Kramer) Esch. She graduated from Xavier High School, Dyersville, in 1952.
She married Earl Billmeyer on April 14, 1956. They lived in Dyersville until 1967, when they moved to Dubuque.
She was a former member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and a current member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Catholic Order of Forresters.
She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She and her husband spent their winters in Pharr, Texas.
Surviving are her husband, Earl Billmeyer, of Dubuque; five Children, Ron (Chris) Billmeyer, of Dubuque, Diane (Dennis Schroeder) Jones, of Dubuque, Tim (Linda) Billmeyer, of Marion, Iowa, Beth (Jeff) McMullen of Dubuque, and Joe (Helen Blatz) Billmeyer, of Dubuque; 14 grandchildren, Jason, Josh, Carisa, Tyler, Alyssa, Thomas and Tate Billmeyer, John (Tonya) Sullivan, Nicole (Jason) Basalyga, Madison and Alex McMullen, Shawn and Craig Splinter, and Bailey Blatz; three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Addison Sullivan, and Jaiden Basalyga; two sisters, Julie White, of Dubuque, and Donna (Merle) Krapfl, of Dyersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Billmeyer; a daughter-in-law, Kim (Kehoe) Billmeyer; a son-in-law, Keith Jones; a brother, Nick Esch; and three sisters, Katherine Wieser Ament, Ellen Manternach and Mary Williamson.
