Alfred L. "Mustang" Gonzales, 83, of Kailua, a retired construction engineer and project manager with Ralph Parsons Construction-Engineer Co., died Saturday in Kailua. He was also a bishop for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kailua Second Ward, Kaneohe Stake. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Matilda; sons Alfred, Jack, Leonard and Nephi; daughter Stacia-Lee Thompson; brothers Jimmy, Tony, Raymond and Manny; sisters Josephine and Kathleen; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kailua Ward. Call from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Burial: Laie Cemetery. Aloha attire.
