Donna Marie (Berg) Wurst was born on April 30, 1935 and joined her husband in heaven on July 12, 2022. She held many roles in her life and loved them all. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. A hard-working woman whose energy was unrivaled, she loved working on their farm and in their flower gardens. Donna was a lifelong champion of learning, spending much of her life as a teacher or Teaching Assistant, influencing the lives of countless children.

Growing up on a farm outside Pleasant Dale, Donna was very involved with 4-H and church activities. She met her husband Neil at a roller-skating rink when she was 15 and began a love affair that lasted 72 years. She played piano and organ in church and was a wonderful cook and baker. Donna loved to watch movies and shared a love of antiquing with her sister Pauline. She was an avid card player and played in many Bridge Tournaments and games of Pitch! She tended beautiful gardens and grew huge plots of vegetables which later were canned for her happy family! She judged many county fair flower exhibits and served as the Superintendent of Flowers at the Seward County Fair for years. Donna and Neil together judged Rose shows around the country as members of the American Rose Society.

Donna was a greatly loved and wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a caring grandparent, who cherished days with grandkids. All of her great grandkids loved "Mimi" and she loved to be with them. She was a strong proponent of reading and gifted the children around her with a steady supply of books.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband Neil Wurst, brother Paul Berg, and parents William and Dorothy Berg. Also predeceasing her: Joan Berg (sister-in-law), Cynthia Berg Sawyer (niece), Walden Brandt (brother-in-law), Myrtle Wurst (mother-in-law), Herbert Wurst (father-in-Law), Marian Keller (sister-in-law), Russell Keller (brother-in-law), John Stark (brother-in-law).
