Karen Anne Aberli, 73, of Elkhart IN. Passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Elkhart General Hospital. Karen was born August 9, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Wilbert Louis Kiefer and Marcella Downs (Weining). She moved from Louisville, Kentucky in 1968, and has resided in Elkhart.
Karen was of the Catholic faith. She also enjoyed pool leagues, crocheting, and knitting. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed volunteering wherever she could.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Meagan Aberli of Mishawaka, Julia (Patrick) Olmstead of Greenwood, Indiana, and a son, Timothy (Kelly) Aberli of South Bend; her 7 grandchildren, including Brayden Yates, Zachary Yates, and Savannah Yates, all of Mishawaka, and Mallory Aberli and Clark Aberli of South Bend; great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Lois) Kiefer of Louisville, KY.
The family and friends will gather for a time of visitation, celebration of life, and family sharing stories at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N Main St, Mishawaka, IN 46545 on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 3:00-6:00pm.
