Victoria Gail (Butcher) Knoche passed away at her home in Cedar City, Utah on Saturday, January 8, 2022. She was born the middle daughter to Victor and Duphane Butcher, having an older sister Connie and younger sister Ellen. Some of her youthful years were spent growing up in California. She was known as Vickie her entire life. Victoria's school years were all here in Cedar City, Utah where she attended the original North Elementary, Middle School and Cedar High School.

Victoria enjoyed going to Cedar Mountain to pick wild elderberries for making jams. Playing at her Aunt Sadie's house which is now located at the Cedar City Heritage Museum. Going on school trips up the mountain or just going up with friends and hanging out from Hurricane to Parowan. As a child she remembered how her and her sisters would sit in her parents' car with their uncle Royit listening to the music while her parents would attend the outdoor dancing in Toquerville, Utah.

While in High School she met Thomas R. Gobel. They would marry and have a daughter Virginia. They divorced later. Victoria went on to marry J. Richard Grant of New Harmony, Utah and together they would have six children; Kim Richard, Steven Albert, Randy Dallas, Susan Gail, Ronald J. and Jolyn before divorcing later.

While living and raising her family in Las Vegas, Nevada, Vickie held many jobs. She was a Keno Shift Boss while working for the Silver Nugget telling us stories of famous singer's she could hear performing in the lounge around the corner from her Keno desk. She was a Bartender at the Day Dream Ranch which is where she met her husband, Robert Knoche. They were happily married for 38 years until his passing in 2020. She was also a bartender at the Las Vegas Liquor where she met the lead singer for Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant. In 1986 Vickie and Robert moved to his home state of Kansas where they lived until returning to Cedar City, Utah in 1992 where Vickie went to work for the Coleman plant sewing zippers into sleeping bags until her retirement. Vickie would sew often making clothes for herself, her children and grandchildren. She taught her daughters how to use quilting frames to hand tie quilts, her sons would help work on the quilts occasionally and we still carry on that tradition today.

Victoria is survived by six of her children; Kim (Lori) Las Vegas, Steven (Cheryl) Cedar City, Randy, Cedar City, Susan (Paul) Cedar City, Ronald, Cedar City and Jolyn (Randy) Cedar City. Also, by 32 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Knoche, daughter Virginia Farrell, grandsons Nathan Ellis Lefevre and Matthew Montgomery. Her parents Victor and Duphane Butcher, sister and brother-in-law Connie and Kent Humphries and sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Clair Hulet.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11, 2022 at Cedar City Utah Stake located at 155 East 400 South, Cedar City, UT 84720.
