"Mrs. Lola Belle Sheffield, 59 years old, 18 W. 34th street, died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. H. C. Bastron, Red Oak, Ia. Besides the daughter, she leaves her husband, Frederick V. Sheffield, a retired railroad employee, of the home; two other daughters, Mrs. Jack Messina, also of the home, and Mrs. Leo Faucon of El Reno, Okla.; a son, Frederick O. Sheffield of 239 E. 52nd street, North; her father, A. G. Duncan of Raytown; three sisters, Mrs. Chris Meyers and Mrs. Herman Woods of Allerton, Ia., and Miss Velma Duncan of Ottumwa, Ia.; and two brothers, Orville Duncan of St Joseph, Mo., and Holly Duncan of Raytown. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday at the Newcomer chapel in North Kansas City." The Kansas City Star, April 20, 1952
