Carolyn Lorine Harline Hannemann, 85, of Laie, Hawaii, died on Monday, November 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Carolyn was born to Horace and Lorine Harline on December 10, 1935 in Torrance, California. She was the youngest of seven siblings and had five brothers and one sister.

She graduated with a bachelor's degree in art education with a minor in music from Pepperdine University in 1957. That same year on June 22nd, she married the love of her life, Tausilinu'u David Hannemann (deceased) from Western Samoa, in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They raised a beautiful family of 9 boys and 2 girls.

Carolyn, alongside her husband, served as the Laie Temple President and Matron from 1995-1998. Carolyn was a woman of many talents as she was a homemaker, organist, pianist, and artist.

Carolyn is survived by her children: Arthur Pinner, Salofi Clark, Vitoliaemanuoaana Lorene, Levaomana David, Saoalii Leonard, Howard Burnell, Hagoth Allen, Maelita Ceil, Max Seiuli Young and Tausilinu'u Derrell; 36 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

She is now reunited with her husband of 61 years Tausilinu'u David, and her youngest son, Joseph Samita, who was taken from this life 28 years ago.

Carolyn will forever remain in our hearts for her endless service to others, matriarch of the family, and her strong faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held at the Laie Hawaii Stake Center 55-415 Iosepa Street, Laie, Hawaii, on Friday, November 12, 2021.

Public visitation: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.; Services: 10:00 a.m.
The dedication of her grave will follow at the Laie Cemetery.
