Mr. Emery died Friday, Aug. 2, 1991, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Parsons, the son of Jess O. and Alice Sharp Emery.
He retired in 1980. He had owned the Emery Feed Co. of Tonganoxie for 20 years.
A World War II Army Air Corps veteran, he moved to Tonganoxie in 1957 from Labette City.
He was a member of the Tonganoxie United Methodist Church.
He married Lois Mae Trout on Feb. 23, 1947, in Galesburg. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Mike and Martin, Tonganoxie, and Richard, Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, Kay Soetaert, Tonganoxie; four brothers, James and Lee, of Topeka, John, Desert Hot Springs, Calif., and Thomas, Parsons; a sister, Bonnie, Tulsa, Okla., and seven grandchildren.
